Spring is a tete-a-tete

I missed my camera during the blood root blooms. {spring is a truly a breath then on to the next beauty}
I did however catch a charming stand of mini volunteers. Yes I've marked them for a modest transplant to enjoy next spring.
and squilla "little vesper bells"

one wee red-bellied woodpecker feather [yes I had to look it up and yes I'm still reading of the woodpeckers intelligent design character trait] - tiny little bird but most industrious especially with regards to opportunity in what appears the least likely a dead tree.

so much spring lovelies, violets a plenty{our state flower no less}, trout lily, dutchman's breeches to name only a few. Alas today was given to appreciating paths less traveled and diligence in giving attention to the smallest of details.
